Sotheby's International Realty - Scotts Valley, CA
The main house was built just six years ago and the love and care that went into its construction is apparent. With approximately 2726 square feet the home features two bedrooms, although the house is set up as three plus an office. There are three full baths which are each uniquely designed.
The master bath has a large free standing tub with a faucet that fills from the ceiling making a soak and experience!
The welcoming kitchen on the main floor has a large center island, two dishwashers, a Viking stove and Sub Zero refrigerator all a chef's dream.
Earth toned granite counter tops work perfectly with the farmhouse styled cabinetry. There are also two dishwashers perfect for entertaining.
The entire home has hardwood flooring and radiant heat.
There is a separate dining area off of the kitchen which overlooks the back garden and patio area with prized rhododendrons and a variety of trees. Here you can also watch the farm animals in the smaller barn. The current owners kept miniature donkeys and chickens.
The family room is adjacent to the kitchen and also faces the beauty of the backyard. It has a wood burning stove installed. The sellers have opted to keep the personalization and finish work of the fireplace design, which is a focal point of the home, for the next owners.
Made from wood milled from the property the approximately 2000 sq.ft. barn is stunning. It is divided into different areas allowing for a variety of uses. So whether one is a horse lover, car enthusiast or looking for a great workspace this barn is perfect.
There is a separate meditation/ yoga studio perched above the main area of the property. Peaceful and serene this building is set amongst the trees and is a great space.
Much care and hard work has gone into the landscaping and the fenced vegetable garden area is like stepping into a magical yard filled with numerous vegetables and a multitude of fruit trees.
While still considered a "bedroom community" for Silicon Valley recent growth in Scotts Valley began back in the mid 70's with the addition of Borland, Seagate, Fox Racing, Zero Motorcycles and the Canepa Sports Car collection facility. Recently the 1440 Multiversity Campus opened in town as well which has drawn many young Silicon Valley executives.
A new Town Center, Scotts Valley Town Green opens this year which includes restaurants, art, coffee shops as well as other mixed use and residential space. There will also be a dedicated area for a Farmers Market.
The public School system in town is highly rated. There are also a myriad of private schools as well.
For beach lovers Santa Cruz is a close 15 minute drive. The fog tends to break right at the Scotts Valley exit.
For equestrians Graham Hill Show Grounds are close by and from here you can trail into UC Santa Cruz and Wilder Ranch, Roaring Camp and Henry Cowell Park.
Golfers enjoy several course in the area including world renowned Pasatiempo. Tennis is available at the La Madrona Swim and Tennis Club just 10 minutes away from the property.
The community of Bean Creek is very active, it is quite common to see children mountain biking there through a program run by the local bike shop.
